Join us for a hands‑on Fly Casting 101 clinic with Austin Orr of Elevate Fly Casting on Saturday, July 26th at Cypress Bend Park in New Braunfels. Whether you’re brand‑new to fly casting or interested in learning how to teach others, this is a great chance to learn from one of the best.

Austin Orr is a Certified Casting Instructor with Fly Fishers International and has been teaching anglers since 2011. He’s known for breaking down casting into real‑world, practical skills that help you improve quickly, no matter your experience level — having him lead this clinic is truly a treat for our chapter.

Event Schedule

7:45 AM – Meet at the park gate (for shuttle/carpool option)

8:00 AM – Clinic begins promptly

10:00 AM – Clinic ends

11:00 AM – Social hour at Muck & Fuss (Enjoy a couple complimentary drinks and connect with fellow Stewards)

Location & Parking

Paid parking available inside the park

Free parking available outside the gate

Shuttle/carpool option available — must meet at the gate at 7:45 AM to ride in

Your fly rod (if you have one, no hooks tied on)
